Obverse: The face of this coin is divided into three parts by two horizontal lines. The legend "Lion Capital" of the Ashoka pillar in the upper part of the center is inscribed below "Satyameva Jayate" and the value of the lower center part is "2" in international numerals. On the upper part is written "भारत" in Hindi and "India" in English, and "Rubai" in Hindi and "Rupees" in English on the lower part.

Reverse: The face of the coin bearing the logo represents the growth of the Indian Air Force over the past seventy-five years. This is symbolically represented by the depiction of the first fighter aircraft – the Wabiti – and the latest multi-role fighter – the SU 30 MK. Center 1. In upper periphery words "Platinum Jubilee" in Hindi, "Platinum Jubilee" in English, above this year international numerals "1932 - 2007" and in center left side words "Indian Air Force" in English. and the word "Indian Air Force" in Hindi at center right.
